During the EFR First Aid Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these life saving skills to others. Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct EFR First Aid courses.
The instructor course covers specific goals and performance requirements for range of courses, along with instruction on how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training, and your role as the instructor in the learning environment.
You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students’ hands-on skills practice sessions, and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience.
The course also includes valuable information and guidance on how to market your courses and your training business. Providing everything you will need to get your business up and running.
▸ In order to enrol on the EFR First Aid Instructor course participants must possess a current First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid qualification. If participants do not hold a current certifications the extra training can be provided prior to the instructor course.
▸ Certification is dependent on continuous assessment of the student, successful completion of practical demonstrations, knowledge reviews and final exam.
▸ Students meeting with the required standard are issued with a certificate valid indefintaely.*.
▸ *Current EFR guidelines require instructors deliver a minimum of 2 courses per year to maintain their instructor rating.
