This course is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator. It is a fully accredited Spanish workplace first aid, CPR & AED qualification.
The topics covered meet with the requirements of Semicyuc (La Sociedad Española de Medicina Intensiva, Criticas y Unidades Coronarias) and the Plan Nacional de RCP and are regarded as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation.
▸ Introduction, Cardiac Arrest, the Chain of Survival and Importance of Early Defibrillation.
▸ Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation in Infants, Children and Adults.
▸ Semiautomatic Defibrillation, Emergency Plans and dealing with life threatening medical emergencies.
▸ Record keeping and maintaenance of an AED.
▸ Plan para sobrevivir a un IAM.
▸ Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
▸ Using personal protection equipment such as ventilation / pocket masks.
▸ Choking and Recovery Position.
▸ Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

▸ Certification is dependent on continuous assessment of the student and successful completion of the final exam.
▸ Students meeting with the required standard are issued with a certificate valid for two years.
▸ Current guidelines recommended first aiders attend annual refresher training.
